What I Find Romantic in 2017.

The Bill.

I do not mind paying for my own things and food. 

I was talking to a few of my female friends and they said when guys insist on paying for the entire bill they feel like they owe them something. And being in debt to people can be dangerous.  

Nowadays, I think splitting the bill is romantic. Of course, there is the exception of celebratory events such as birthdays and those random surprises, but overall I like it. Splitting the bill is a way of saying "hey we can look after each other and not heavily depend on each other in an unhealthy way."

ALSO, the pressure on guys to pay for the meal is ridiculous. This isn't the old days where only men have access to money. I think guys will be relieved if girls were happy to split the bills. It's 2017, let's make bills equal.
