"Posting Children's Photos on Social Media Divides Nation"

This article by Leo Kelion covers the notion of whether parents should ask their children's permission of whether they can upload pictures of them onto the internet.

I was really surprised that this was the main focus of this article rather than the risks of pedophilia and identity fraudsters having access to images of people's children on the vast wide web. I am not saying that the children's permission is not as important but I would have thought that with the increasing percentages of pedophiles in the world - not just United Kingdom - that this article missed a massive opportunity on advising parents to be cautious of who can gain access to said intimate family photos. For example, adjusting your social media settings to 'Private' in order to prevent strangers from scrolling through your latest status updates and pictures and adding close and trustworthy friends to gain access to such photos. So, you should ask your children's permission alongside making sure that you are cautious to the vastness and thousand eyes that can see your life on the world wide web.
